IT'S TURNIP TIME!!!

Blood From a Turnip, Rhode Island's oldest late night puppet salon, continues its NINTH season on Friday January 20 at 10pm at its customary home at Perishable Theatre, 95 Empire Street downtown Providence.

Join hostesses Vanessa Gilbert and Marsian as they present the widest range in puppetry for adult style people!

Talent includes Turnip favorite & dance sensation, Bonnie Duncan with her shadow and theatre works - Endless & Soul City, slamtastic Boston puppet mogul, Carl Wieting, performing a show about the plumber, local thespian and cross-over artist, Peter Deffet making his puppetry debut & others.

Former child actress & BFaT founder, Vanessa Gilbert remarked, "We wanted to reassure the general public that although George W. Bush is still president, that BLOOD FROM A TURNIP continues to plug away well into its 9th season!"

Aging puppet-star & BFaT spokes-person, Marsian added, "Furthermore, I wanted to confirm rumors swirling in the tabloid press that I will indeed drop my new show Growing Up Linda here in Providence."
