His technique was created over 40 years ago. Ms Nunes learned Horton technique through Naiala Bellenger at Dean College, and continued her training at the Alvin Ailey Dance Center in NYC where she studied with Dudley Williams and Carmen DeLavallade. Her major influence and inspiration came from Ann Marie Forsythe who works closely with Marjorie Perces to preserve and pass on the amazing technique of Lester Horton. Ms'.Forsythe and Perces documented this technique in both video and written format. Ms Nunes writes, "I have been doing the Horton Technique for about 10 years.
