A. Cultural - I have legitimate-stage, dance-concert and arts-festival opportunities for *serious* *authentic* *trained* *accomplished* hula dancers. These gigs don't pay much (or at all) but they are an opportunity for mea hula and ka po`e Hawaii maoli to perform cultural outreach in beautiful settings, and work with the RI arts community. B. Entertainment - People keep calling me for luau, birthdays, etc. These gigs tend to require at least some tourist hula, and Tahitian never hurts. They generally pay a *minimum* of $100 per dancer for a gig of an hour or less - good for indigent artists and college students. If I know what you can do, I simply refer these gigs to you and you get to plan your own show, negotiate $$, and I don't take a cut. If you qualify and are interested, please contact me at 401-467-1993 or hulaworkshop@mac.com. GUEST INSTRUCTOR AT HULA WORKSHOP I would like to offer a venue for *serious* *authentic* *trained* *accomplished* hula dancers to teach workshops and get paid. We can co-publicize. If you qualify and are interested, please contact me at 401-467-1993 or hulaworkshop@mac.com. |
