Westerly is a city of art lovers, so it should come as no surprise that the Chorus of Westerly has become well known throughout Rhode Island for creative and high quality performances. In addition to their own concerts, they bring in musicians from all over the world and host the annual Celebration of Twelfth Night. Their venue is the lovely George Kent Performance Hall built in 1886 and now on the National Register of Historic Places.

This premiere choral ensemble has enthralled concert-goers around the globe with their rare specialty of early Orthodox music. Their repertoire focuses on the great works of Russian sacred choral literature, both ancient and contemporary. The Estonians enchant and captivate with their musical skill, elegance and resonant beauty. The Orthodox Singers was founded in1989 by Music Director and Conductor Valery Petrov, a graduate of the Estonian Academy of Music. The ensemble's repertoire is diverse, including sacred chants of different styles from the 16th to 21st centuries. Almost all the contemporary compositions are original and are performed by this ensemble only.
