Plotnikov, who the Providence Journal hails as "among the most innovative and evocative choreographers in the country", will present yet another world premiere. Balanchine's Donizetti Variations, a RI premiere originally performed by NY City Ballet as a salute to the 100th anniversary of Italy's unification, and Tudor's Jardin Aux Lilas (Lilac Garden), his most famous work, also a RI premiere, complete the bill.
