MARCH 1st SCHEDULE MASTER CLASS with FRANCE MAYOTTE HUNTER 10:00am - 11:30am France Mayotte Hunter, choreographer, dancer and educator, performed with Twyla Tharp from 1977-79 and was an ensemble dancer in the film adaptation of Hair. As director of the dance program at Greenwich Academy, she created a K thru 12 comprehensive dance curriculum. This advanced technique class will include excerpts from France's most recent work, Cri de Coeur, an eclectic mix of modern and ballet work which explores the choreographic concept of allowing movement to inform the intuition as well as such technical challenges as fall and recovery, exploring movement in the back space, counterpoint in movement and musical dynamics. Those who have little dance training or who have not danced for a while may still want to do the first part of the class as a warm-up and then observe at any point where they feel that the class has become too difficult. Participants who do not wish to take the class are encouraged to observe.
