Fusionworks' Fall concert, Dance Drum Dance!, explores the ancient and mythic relationship of the dancer and musician. Come experience modern dance where the music truely becomes an integral part of the dance. Dance Drum Dance! includes Deb Meunier's exciting new dance DooBop Too, danced to the Music of Myles Davis, Bridgman/Packer's Lunch Break a spoof on life in the world of big business accompanied by live percussionists and The Hunt created by international choreographer and former Parsons company dancer, Robert Battle.
Fusionworks has invited several local artists to join them for this concert. They include; The Rhode Island College Dance Company, Fusionworks II, Celtic step dancers, Keiran Jordan and Kevin Doyle, and two of the most accomplished percussionists from our area, Ron Schmitt and Michael DeQuatro.
Fusionworks II will perform a new work to the driving punk sounds of Anti-M and The Dual and step dancers Keiran Jordan and Kevin Doyle will join percussionist Ron Schmitt in a rollicking battle of step dancing and drumming.
