Dancers across the US and around the world are celebrating their art form this week
National Dance Week was founded in 1981 to reach out to share, celebrate and unite dance with communities in events large and small, in major cities ,in studios and on the streets.
This year's Celebrity Spokesperson is American Ballet Theatre's former Ballerina Cynthia Gregory and Julliard's Dance Division head, Roni Mahler.
Barbara Donahue, director of The Dancing Spirit and Rhode Island's National Dance Week Spokesperson and just returned from dance training in Bali, invites everyone and anyone to celebrate the week with free classes and special events dedicated to the universal family of all dancers, students, teachers and performers of all dance styles around the world.
